Well File Tab - File Loading

The functions on this tab are to facilitate the loading of files to the LOGarc system. All file types are loaded from this screen. See the following topics for detailed loading instructions:

The left Windows Explorer pane displays the working folders containing files to be loaded.

When a folder is selected, the larger right pane displays the files in the selected directory that are available to load. The data displayed depends on which tab, LAS, Raster, Well File, or Oneline is active.

To load well files

Select the folder(s) that contain the files to be loaded and click Display Files to populate the File selection pane. Selection modes include the following:

Single File—the files in the selected folder display in the Folder selection pane. Select a single file and double-click. The file will display in the larger File selection pane.

Multi File Mode—all files at the root level of that folder display in the file selection pane. Files in subfolders do not.

Sub Folders—all files in the selected folder including files in subfolders display in the file selection pane.

Select the files for processing using the Select All / Select None buttons above the pane, or by selecting individual files.

Other options include the following:

Delete Original(s) - If this is a duplicate set that you are processing, you may want to delete the original data. This is useful for quick identification of files that failed processing and require fixing.

Scan for Multi-DRAs - When this option is selected, the loading function automatically performs a scan of the calibration files before loading begins to identify if any of these files is a DRA file containing calibrations for multiple images.

Include LWD delete previous - Resolves the problem of large numbers of repetitive curves being loaded to LWD wells.

Use Same UWI For All - Processes all selected files with the same UWI. This option is only available for Well File loading.

Populate UWI [ ] file - When loading Well File data, read the API/UWI from the file name and use it for loading.

Populate Comments by folder - When loading Well File data, populate the Comments field with the folder name.

Open File—to view the content of a file listed in the file selection pane, right-click on the file record in the display screen and select Open File.

View Log File— to view the processing log file to evaluate a load failure click View Log File. Right-click a row in the loading display grid and select View Log File from the context menu.
